The Challenge of Middle School

Middle school years are a time of rapid growth and change. Early adolescents face unique and diverse challenges, both personally and developmentally, that have an impact on their academic achievement.

Middle school counselors understand and respond to the challenges presented by today’s diverse student population. This is accomplished through the design, development, and implementation and evaluation of a Comprehensive School Counseling Program, which is based on the specific needs of the students in the school.

These programs are pro-active and preventative, developmentally appropriate, and essential for student to:

  • Achieve optimal personal growth
  • Enhance positive social skills and values
  • Set appropriate career goals

Realize their full academic and personal potential to become productive, contributing members of the world.
